Lowrance Elite-7HDI will not load social map
i have downloaded this social map several times and it will not load at all. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Typically because you have used incorrect serialnumber or Content-ID in the chartplotter-profile in C-Map Genesis. Make sure you ONLY use what is on the About-menu in your unit, nothing else.
Other sources of error can be the memorycard itself. It has to be maximum 32GB and formated to FAT32, but Elite HDI where "pickey" on memorycards, so even if yours fits the bill, test with another one. Also make sure your unit has updated software, Elite HDI on original software is not compatible with C-Map Genesis, but Elite HDI became compatible with a software-upgrade at one point.

That is the weird thing I my about page the serial number shows only 3 numbers not the 9 that makes up my entire serial number.

Elite HDI has different setup of serialnumber versus todays units. You need to use the one on the About-page.
