    Chiggers

Damnt I hate these little critters. Did some work just outside the yard line, into the woods and the sombitches ate me up. Went ahead and got a steroid shot and other meds. hope they cool off soon! Are they just a southern US insect/mite or are they found elsewhere?

Never had a chigger bite in MN. But they are plentiful here in Arkansas. Was dirt biking in the thick, wooly woods yesterday and sprayed down big time before taking off. Ended up chigger free, thank goodness.

They are annoying. I slop a lot of after shave on my legs after I think I may have been exposed to them, I think it stops them from biting. They love to get to the first elastic on your body and then burrow in.
    Hate them.

I got over 100 on me 7-8 days ago- belly to ankles. I went to farm to goof off in shorts and flip flops but ended up with pole saw and weedeater on some atv trails. About as miserable as I’ve ever been— easing off now though

Hate those micro bastages. Here is what I spray down my clothes and shoes with when I go to the clubhouse.

I remember as a kid being munched on by those things. Not the best childhood memory.

lol, chiggers don't bother me much. The ticks, thats another story. The lonestar is hatching now and the bites resemble taht of a chig.

We have had them in Illinois as far back as I can remember.
They do not burrow under the skin although it feels like it.
When I was young man I enjoyed sitting under trees while squirrel hunting.
I quickly learned to never sit directly on the ground. It was miserable experience when I learned that.

Little bass turds moved into southern Ontario last year. I was devoured this year.

I have got them up in Pennsylvania. Ususally just a few bites. In warmer climates, they thrive.
