Ran a fury 3 23p today. Varied jp from 3” to 1 1/2. Highest rpms were 5920.smartcraft. Speed 70-71. Lower motor lower rpms
    So what are your thoughts?

    Box prop?
Trued up 23 (without any other BS) will get you your 6200.

With the new gear cases prop slip at 10% or less is quite common.

    Yesterday I ran 70 at 5910 rpms. Air temp 34. Water temp 52. That’s with a fury 3 23.
    So do I need a 22p prop?
If I were able to get a bravo l fs they say go up 2”. So I should go up 1”?

Your speed or RPM data is suspect. You will want to check the devices for accuracy.
That's actually right at 5% slip, since the Fury he's running is probably right at 24.6 pitch (Fury is usually on the high side of it's pitch number). And that's certainly possible with the TM gearcases... see it quite regularly.

That being said- this isn't the Original Poster's engine or setup, so it's not a lot of help.

    22P in the Fury, 24P in a Bravo-1 FS.

What number did you use for pitch? I’m guessing, 24 but you should be using 25 since it’s a Fury.

He’s actually at 7% slip which is really good and certainly not out of the question.

I've seen around 5-7% slip on a 250 pro xs 4 stroke, these new lower units are very efficient.

24.6 is pretty close for the Fury.

Did you try and raise the engine higher with the Bravo FS to gain a bit more rpm or is 6000 the maximum for the engine?

6200 is engine max. 6000 is closest I have been. And in cold air. I have tried so many props and I think I’m done. Just gonna go with what I have. Not racing anyone..I just wanted it to be performing as it should. I just wanna drive it and go fishing. I never dreamed trading boats would be such a hassle.

I think you meant to say the speed dropped when you raised the jack plate higher, not the rpm or am I confused. Glad you got it figured out. I have been there and constantly trying different expensive props, gets old fast.

i have a Nitro z20 with 250 4s.duel 10 ft power poles,4 batteries and normal tournament gear and witha 24 3 fury i turn 5800 and run 71-72,with a 23p 3 fury i run the same speed and 6100 rpm and use alot more gas. i don't see the need in a 23p. my 24p does great out of the hole.
