Box prop?
Trued up 23 (without any other BS) will get you your 6200.
Croxton?
With the new gear cases prop slip at 10% or less is quite common.

Yesterday I ran 70 at 5910 rpms. Air temp 34. Water temp 52. That’s with a fury 3 23.
So do I need a 22p prop?
If I were able to get a bravo l fs they say go up 2”. So I should go up 1”?
That's actually right at 5% slip, since the Fury he's running is probably right at 24.6 pitch (Fury is usually on the high side of it's pitch number). And that's certainly possible with the TM gearcases... see it quite regularly.Originally Posted by bustasack
That being said- this isn't the Original Poster's engine or setup, so it's not a lot of help.
22P in the Fury, 24P in a Bravo-1 FS.

Thanks Don
I've seen around 5-7% slip on a 250 pro xs 4 stroke, these new lower units are very efficient.
Same here, in the 5-6% range pretty consistently with my setup. Wasn t sure at first, every other mercury outboard ive run is closer to 10-12%

Today I ran bravo 1 fs 24 and hit 6000 for the first time at 68.5 max speed. 2 ppl 250 lbs gas at 1/4 tank and live wells empty
I did bump it up and rpms began to drop.
6200 is engine max. 6000 is closest I have been. And in cold air. I have tried so many props and I think I’m done. Just gonna go with what I have. Not racing anyone..I just wanted it to be performing as it should. I just wanna drive it and go fishing. I never dreamed trading boats would be such a hassle.
i have a Nitro z20 with 250 4s.duel 10 ft power poles,4 batteries and normal tournament gear and witha 24 3 fury i turn 5800 and run 71-72,with a 23p 3 fury i run the same speed and 6100 rpm and use alot more gas. i don't see the need in a 23p. my 24p does great out of the hole.
No. Actually the rpms dropped. I was watching that guage as I was trying to see how high they would go.
