    Willow Leaf Spunnerbait Blades

What size willow leaf blades do you use on a 3/8 oz spinnerbait. Does anyone use the same size blade for the front and back? Is there much difference, or greater flash between verying blade sizes or keeping both blades (front and back) the same size?

I don’t like the same size front and back. I use a 4 and a 3 most of the time.

Depends on the blades. Some you can use 4 1/2 without ''rolling'', other blades you have to go down to 4 with a 3/8 oz head. Yes, you can use the same size blades but size ads up. Two number 4 = 8. A # 5 + a #3 1/2 = 8 1/2. I use 1/2 oz heads and I don't like anything over 8 1/2, total. For a 3/8 oz head I would use 4 1/2 and 3 1/2 . I use spinnerbaits mostly for smallmouth so I want to be able to burn them back and not have them turn on their side. I don't use the same size blades.

Generally I don't like to use the same size blades. Depending on what you are trying to accomplish 3.5 and 4 or 4 and 4.5 work best IMO for a 3/8oz baits.

    I'd never blade bigger than 3.5 and 4 or 4 and 4 on a 3/8 spinnerbait.
