Line type you plan to use and action/taper of the rod will also dictate a lot...along with the power rating.
mono 15 lb. med hvy fast. or a med veritas fast action

In this case I would go with the MHF with the mono. If you decide to go braid + leader, go to the Med power and look for a mod-fast taper.Originally Posted by VA Bass
