    TX guides and Lakes

I just got assigned Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio as my new region for work. Needless to say I will visiting quite often. So, to all that live these areas, I am looking for recommendations for guides, lakes, and the best weeks for some fishing. Looking for after the first of the year.
Thanks in advance, and if your prefer to PM that's OK too.

    Lake Fork - Dallas
    Choke Canyon - San Antonio
Calaveras Lake - San Antonio (fresh water redfish)
Canyon Lake - San Antonio (Guadalupe Bass)

Depending on how much time you will be in San Antonio, might be worth driving south for two hours for some Texas saltwater fishing. Give me a shout if you want to hit Canyon, Calaveras or Choke.

Your not far from Galveston, if you go to Houston to do some saltwater fishing. My buddies are on a flounder bite right now.. Good luck

From Houston or Austin, I'd consider a little lake called Fayette County. It will spoil you.

Around Austin you have loads of good choices. Fayette, Bastrop, Decker, Austin, Travis, Buchanan, LBJ and others. For guides, Rick Denton (Fayette), Mike Hastings, Ander Meine, Tyler Torwick, Charles Gerhart, Alan Christiansen (Travis).

During my tournament offseason, I guide on several East Texas lakes but primarily on Sam Rayburn. Feel free to hit me up if you are interested in fishing this way.
