    2003 Honda 130hp

Hey all! I just purchased a 2003 Honda 130. First question- the prop isn’t in the best shape and was thinking about putting a new one on, it’s going on a stratus 268(16’8”)any thoughts on what would be the best one? 2nd- what should the compression be on that motor? 3rd- he says he has to put a little bit of oil in it every once in a while, it sounds great and idles perfect, any thoughts on what I could do about that ? Maybe a heavier oil? Any thoughts would be great! Thx a bunch, Ben

I was waiting on other with a 130, I never owed one. I would go with a new prop with the same pitch as what was on the boat and go from there. The compression should be within a 10-15 Lb on all the cylinders, but check the manual. As for the oil, its cheaper to add a little oil virus a rebuild. Keep an eye on it and if you have to add a little oil just go for it.
