What Prop??? 175 Mercury
I have an 18' Caymas with a 175 Mercury Pro XS. It was great before I added all the goodies to the boat. Now, with talons, batteries, gear etc. my hole shot is an absolute pig. It takes FOREVER to get on plane if I have a passenger and there's a slight chop.
I need some serious help. I am running a 13x24 Fury. What do you guys suggest.

More details might help before and after.
Have you opened up your PVS system to allow more venting?
-
What is your max RPM at WOT? I suspect you should be running something closer to a 22”.
-
Tempest carries a load alot better than a fury, speaking from experience

-
You setup for best performance first, then adjust prop vents for holeshot.
If you're not reaching full WFO rpms, you need to change props.

I'd bet a 22" fury if it's a four stroke.

Until he wanders back in and fills in the details, nobody has enough information to offer anything.

No way a 4s 175 can turn a 25 tempest 6000-6200 rpm where he needs to be even loaded empty. A 24 fury is also way too big. I would try a 22 Tempest Plus.

He didn't specify 4s... yes that would make a difference
-
He also doesn’t have gen III lower. 175 comes with the 4.88” Verado Style lower. Also, 175 Pro XS is V6 6000 RPM, not V8 6200 RPM.

If its a 4 stroke a 23 Tempest plus or a 22 Fury will wake it up, also consider where your jackplate is set, you added weight to the stern so that effects how fast you get on pad. Good luck
