    2008 PHOENIX SUPER VEE 2100

Does this ride as good and is it made as good as the newer Phoenix models? Likes and dislikes about it?

I had the original Bumblebee 2100 Super Vee. It is the same hull, it was Phoenix’s entry when they bought the old Bee plant and before the Diamond Vee hull was ready. It doesn’t ride or handle as good as the newer hull. That being said, it is good hull. It rides pretty good as it is long and narrower than the newer boats. It performs well. Set up correctly it runs pretty good. It’ll do high 70’s done right. I would definitely own one again. I wanted a 4 stroke engine, a new TM, and electronics, it made better sense to buy a new one.

Everyone has an opinion on the best riding boat (hull) and so do I, so here's mine. I have owned over 30 boats, including many Bumble Bee 2100's, one Bee Line 2100 (same hull as the Bee and the predecessor to the Phoenix), and four Phoenix 721's. I have been on some big water, from Texas to Minnesota, Florida to Connecticut. I love my Phoenix 721 and it is a great riding boat, but the Bee 2100 and the Phoenix Bee Line 2100 would be my choice for big rough open water. The Bumble Bee's were great boats, I miss them.
