Mercury All-In-One Spotless Shine Detailer and Water Spot Remover. Part# 92-8M0170557. It removes the water spots really well, but you will have to follow up with your favorite detailing spray since it does leave a film.

If water spots are really bad, you can use PUR-KLEEN on them and it will take them off. You will need to wipe your prop and everything down afterwards, though, as I have seen that leave little spots on your prop that will have to be buffed out. Use enough of it and it will take the worst lime and scale off of the mid-section of your lower unit. I took a bottle to the lake with me one time to do a buddy's boat and had 10 guys wanting to know where I got it at. It works that well.

Same thing I use on my boat top to bottom. BassBoat Saver. I’m done trying anything else. I use ProTec products to wash and seal. BBS for wipe downs and to remove water spots.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Double coat your motor with a ceramic wax (like Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray) and wipe down after ever trip with distilled water from your spray bottle.

Vinegar and water for the easy stuff. 1/3 Lime-A-Way and 2/3 water for the tough stuff.

4" grinder with a wire wheel will get the job done. LOL! Joking! Vinegar and water make for a more aesthetically pleasing result.

I have about 5 years ago. when I had my old boat was white and if you pooled up a bunch in one area there was a red tint to it. It’s decent stuff but I never found it to prevent any water spots whatsoever and didn’t think it worked better than a basic water/vinegar solution and it wouldn’t prevent scum lines or water spots from forming so I don’t use it anymore. I still have that bottle in the garage.

I use water/vinegar solution for water spots and then give the boat a coat of Lucas Slick Mist that has wax to prevent scum lines and water spots.
