    Help ID my Triton!

I have a 2000 model Triton and I’m having difficulties identifying what model I have. It’s badged as a TR196, came with a 200 EFI, tandem axel trailer and dual console. Measuring from bow to stern (in the middle of the transom) the boat is just shy of 19’. Iboats specs out a TR19 to be 18.92’ long.

A dealer here in Tn emailed some people they knew and are telling me the boat is a 2000 TR20 and single console. I clearly know it’s a dual console boat. I’ve seen pics of TR19’s and they look spot on when compared to mine. I’m restoring the boat and want to make sure I have the correct engine size - the CG placard has been removed by a previous owner. Also I want to make sure the boat is badged correctly and registered properly. Can anyone help ID what boat I have by the HIN?

    Any help is appreciated.

No Vin number by the motor on the hull? And I think the other Vin is under the carpet on the back deck.

I do have the VIN located on the starboard side of the transom.

Contact C and O marine and see if they can help you. I do know that Tritons before 2014 they don't have certain papers on any more.

HIN numbers don't give you a whole lot of info on boats older than 10 years. Since its badged for a 196 then get a Coast Guard plate with that on it.

Send me info and pictures. I’ll see what I can find. I’m sure you are aware there was no TR-196 in 2000.

If the 200 EFI is the original motor it is most likely a TR20. The max HP for the TR20 in 2000 was 200hp! and if my memory is correct it was 19.6 ft long!

I have a 2000 Dealer Pamphlet, It shows all the Bass Boats for that year.

The TR-19PDC is 18 feet 11 inches and is rated for a 175 HP engine

    There was a TR-196 model. At least from early 2000s thru 2007. It was a 19' 6" boat rated for a 200HP.

How do I get the measurement? From where to where on the boat?
