    Osprey catch

Three Osprey's put on a show this morning at a local lake.
This one came close enough for a decent shot.

I recently was shooting video and my partner was landing a bass and an Osprey came out of nowhere and grabbed his fish just as he was netting it, and took off. He pulled on his line and the Osprey dropped the bass, he landed it a second time, and released it unharmed. I got it all on my GoPro. Will post it to my YouTube channel soon.
    ciao,
    Marc

Can I ask what kind of lens/camera set-up you are using? I am looking at getting my wife a camera with a longer lens for Christmas.

I am using a Canon R5 with a RF to EF lens adaptor and an EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L IS II lens.
Normally I would be using a 600mm lens for birds in flight, 400mm is a bit short on a full frame camera, but in June I traded my 600mm in and I'm still waiting for the new RF 600mm f4 IS lens.
Hoping it will be soon. The eagles will be gathering at Conowingo Dam starting in November.
