    Trim motor replacement

    88 Mariner outboard, 3 cyl 90hp.
    Serial# B330956

The schematic on marineengin.com shows that there is a 3 ram trim for my motor, I have a single ram trim on my motor. It has a 2 wire motor with the reservoir below the motor. Anyone know what part number or model I need for replacement?

    Thank you for your help.

I don't really want to replace the whole system, I just want to replace the motor.

If I switch over to the three Ram then I would not need the motor

Can you help me understand why I can't just change the motor?

Because Mercury does not offer a replacement for it any longer. Some aftermarket companies MIGHT.
