I think Mercury is also concerned as there are different qualities in batteries. In recently looking at LifePo4 batteries, there are some you can order straight from China. Who knows how they are assembled.
I am confident in Impulse Batteries and just ordered a set of Impulse 60a for my trolling motor. Whenever my Northstar 31AGM cranker dies, I will probably order a LifePo4 replacement. Hopefully they are fully approved by that time.
