    New Vexus Owner

After owning mostly fiberglass bass boats my entire life, I spent a lot of time researching new bass boats the past two months. Today I purchased a 2022 AVX1880 from my local Vexus dealer. I take delivery tomorrow (Tues), or Wednesday. I previously stated I was going to stay with fiberglass but after looking everything over, I decided on the 1880 because it checked all the boxes for me. I fish the local river mostly and make a few trips to Rayburn and Toledo so I think this rig is the perfect all around set up.

Congrats on the new boat! What changed from the 2021 models? I heard 2022 were not yet available for order?

My local dealer had one 2021 AVX1880 left in stock but it sold the day before I arrived at his lot. I started looking at the AVX181 he had on the lot and left undecided. Then a week later, a new 2022 AVX1880 arrived at the dealer that was not pre-sold. I bought that particular boat. It was dealer ordered with the Ultrex, Helix DI at bow, and Helix SI at console. I'm ready to pick it up and start the engine break-in while I try to catch a fish or two....

Thanks for the comments, I pick it up tomorrow(WED) morning at 10am. I will take pics in next day or so. The color is the sapphire blue like the 1980 pictured down below my posting. It looks exactly like that boat in the picture except it is an 1880 with Yamaha 115 SHO.

Yes, I bought it at Jorgensen in Beaumont. The boat color is sapphire blue and I made the maiden voyage today on the river. After I got home, I put all my fishing gear in the boat. I'm ready to finish the engine break-in and hopefully make a few trips this fall.

I put my order in, for an AVX 1880, on 19 July, and was told I would have one of the first 2022s. Build started on (I believe) 2 Aug, to be completed on 14 Aug. Waiting on 115HP Mercury. Vexus told me I was #2 in line for the motor. I told them to just hang a 150 on it, but, they said the Coast Guard might have a problem with that.
Still haven't heard when it might arrive here in central FL. I have had a boat since 1978, and I'm getting restless looking at the empty spot in my garage.
