    Exclamation Lime Springs Iowa fishing?

Going to bring my wife to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN the 2nd week of Oct. Will have a weekend to kill and the inlaws live right next to the Mill at Lidtke park in Lime Springs. Just wondering what kind of fishing I should expect if I were to fish there? Any pike around, i've never caught one and would love to. Smallies, trout etc? I could walk above and below the dam to fish if I brought a rod. Thanks in advance for any tips.

I've never fished that area but it wouldn't surprise me if there are some smallies in there if you are able to find a deep hole. Otherwise there will be plenty of catfish to be caught. You're also in an area that the dnr stocks trout in the creeks

I’ve never fished it before but many of the small rivers are good for bass that time of year. I see there’s a boat ramp right above the dam there. That would be the first thing I would check out
