I’m no expert but apparently this is a subject that very few people have any good knowledge about. Zukes are kinda off the radar, for now anyways. Theoretically, one could install the DF200 ECU on a DF150 and alter it’s performance characteristics. As there are no mechanical or physical differentiations as far as I know between the 2867cc inline 4 cylinder DF150,175 and 200 besides the “software”. A “flash” seems reasonable if someone has the equipment and knowledge to do so. This would obviously void the impressive Suzuki warranty. But if it’s out of date, then game on. Another thing to consider is the gear case ratio, whereas the standard DF series 4 cylinder is 2.5 to 1. The SS series gears are 2 to 1. That lower unit would find gains in performance on the right boat, albeit with a different prop. And would not instantly void the warranty. That is unless your Suzuki tech somehow notices it and rats on you. Good luck!
