    Interstate Battery Issue

Bought a 2021 Z20 in February and my group 31 agm Interstate Battery has been slowly getting worse over the last couple months. It's to the point where I have to jump my motor early in the day. I took the Battery to Cabelas to test and they said it tests good. Anyone else have issued and were you able to get it warranties? I bought a Duracell AGM 31 and used it last weekend with no issues.

Exact same issue with my interstate agm starting battery. Cabelas said it was good but it clearly wasn’t. I had to take it directly to interstate to have them perform a deep cycle test, which it failed. Interstate gave me a replacement battery, worked ok but with my heavy electronics load I did eventually swap it with a 125 ah battery.

Yeah that battery and any other interstate I used on the cranked sucked, I didn't mind running cheep interstates for the tm but they didn't quite last 3 years. Ever.

batteries plus x2 31 agm. Strongly recommend.

Yes, ionic 125 ah. Works great, most days running livescope even with little time running the big motor Im still above 50 percent capacity. With my interstate agm, even the replacement battery which worked better, Id occasionally have to jump start at the end of the day.

Very cool, I plan to take the battery to an intestate store and hopefully get it warrantied and sell it. I will run the Duracell 31 agm for several years, then probably look into the lithium route.

Interstates are junk, many people have problems with them. I see more failures with Interstates than all other brands combined.

The interstate store did say that the recently had to change the marine agms and the new style is apparently a better battery. Running livescope is a big battery drain, if I didn't have that setup the agm probably would've been fine.

I’d recommend checking your charging system and charger to be sure you don’t have problems there.
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,

Graph readings have little meaning. You need to measure at the battery.

Have you had issues with a dead starting battery? If so, you have to specify you want a deep cycle test from interstate, otherwise they just do a CCA test and it likely will be fine.

Mine failed after about 3 months. BPS replaced it without question. Was tested by their Interstate rep. 8 months on replacement, no problem.

I'm on my second Interstate group31 AGM. No issues with either. Never had to jump start and I fish tournaments all day. Run, livescope, 360, 2-12" Helix's and a Garmin 93sv... Never had a problem... Being honest here...

My 2021 Z19 came with an Optima Blue Top start battery, Interstate AGMs for the rolling motor.
