    Here's a copy/paste from a 8/3/2016 post;

    I used Fastenal grade 9 --- 9/16" with EcoGuard coating, they claim it's rated at 1000 hours of salt spray. Not sure if drilling was required for the transom - Detwiler (had those installed for me), but the Detwiler - HydroTec Leverage - Motor did not require any drilling. Receipt shows I ordered four (4) each of the following sizes: 2 1/2", 3 1/2" and 4". Notes say I could have used four (4) of the 3" and two (2) of the 2". Last year Fastenal didn't carry those two sizes in grade 9. They also have flatwashers and locknuts in grade 9 with that EcoGaurd

    Next year or so, if Fastenal doesn't have the 3" or 2" in grade 9, I'll get those grade 8. That extra 1/2" really looks long
