    I have struggled with the same problem. I cannot find any of these rods that are comfortable in the grip area and have a decent backbone for bream fishing. Currently I am using the old Berkley Series One one piece 5'6" fast taper rated for about 2-8 lb line I think. I use 6 lb mono or 6 lb Berkley Nanofil fused line. I cast into tight places. Fabulous rods but they are getting old.

    Try an ajing rod if you’re looking for something a bit stiffer. The tips are are super thin and quick but they have quite a bit of power for a rod rated down to .3g

    The Daiwa Kage UL spinning rods are very impressive at their price point. There is a 5'6" a 6'1" and a 7'1" model. The Tackle Trap keeps them in stock. Call the shop if you are interested in finding out more. 256 281 6160
