I'm certainly ready to go, but I'm waiting for my ECU to get back from Simons , I was hoping to have it back by Friday, it's driving me nuts not being able to go fishing....

Fished Gibson on Tuesday night (jackpot) and had one fish. Very tough. Can't believe it's already August!

Dang, 2 out of 5 here currently have Covid! Hope you both get well soon.
Read on BBC about the 10 MLF fishermen who caught Covid at ICast with 3 hospitalized.
    Made me think.
So I got my shot this week as we headed down to Austin which is a hotbed.
Went to Gallaria Lakeway for dinner last night and couldn’t get in to two places with 1 hour and 1 1/2 hour waits-crowd gathering in outdoor venue for theater show-nobody wearing masks in a crowded venue. Dang.
We found a place further up the road which was less crowded and good to boot.
4 weeks from last surgery and I figure a couple of more weeks before I can get the boat out.
An amazing bit of weather here in Austin, cloudy, 86 and low humidity with a few scattered showers during the day.
Green all the way from Tulsa to Austin. It has been a wet summer for sure.
Somebody needs to catch a fish and tell us about it.
Grand fishing report is covered up with catfish and crappie!
    Go get u sum!

Nothing like a good top water bite!
Can get the smallies to hit on the Illinois river for a good part of the day and even in afternoons in the shade or if cloud cover.
Hooked a 6+ LM on a Torpedo last year on the river and watched her go completely airborn! Last I saw of her.
She was right in my grandson’s face and he was astounded!

Good for you. I may actually get a bank fishing session this evening or tomorrow a.m.
No fishing license needed in Texas for Oklahoma residents over 65!

    Saltwater and Freshwater.
    Nice.

Fished eufaula yesterday in the hawg hunter. Fish seemed to be on just about anything you wanted to do. I caught em flipping shallow, on docks, off shore, didn’t seem to matter. Biggest thing was finding a good fish. Tried to boat flip a 4lber on a spook midday and bounced him off the side. Either way, sounds like a few found some good ones but definitely a challenge.

Fished the south end of grand Sunday morning. Caught a lot of fish. Had one probably almost 3lbs but that was the biggest. Fish were caught on white walking top water, white plopper style top water, and watermelon 4 inch brush hog. At least half of the fish were spotted bass.
