Helix gen1 to ultrex

I have gen1 helix and my transducer is n/g , so can’t I just use the one built into the ultrex ? If so do I need an adapter and what part number do I need ? Thanks !

Since you not state the unit model (there are over a dozen) or the Ultrex transducer type, I'll guess:
IF you have the US2 built-in transducer, that is tuned to the same frequencies as the Sonar and Side Imaging first generation Helix units use for 2D sonar====83/200 kHz.
It doesn't do any Imaging of any kind
To use it, you need the Minnkota MKR-US2-8 adapter.

The unit setting for the US2 is Generic 83/200 kHz.

A 10" Side Imaging unit would be Helix 10 SI GPS

The unit model name is displayed on one of the start-up screens and in the SYSTEM STATUS view.
The US2 transducer is a round disk on the bottom of the trolling motor nose.

That unit uses 200/455 kHz for 2D sonar. Generic 83/200 setting would match the US2 transducer in a Minnkota trolling motor IF that is the one you have. The US2 doesn't do Down Imaging. There is a MEGA Down Imaging and a MEGA Side Imaging version motor also.
