    Thinking about a new boat

It’s about time for a new boat. I’ve had my triton for 5 years now but a new tritro is not what I’m looking for. Several guys I know have recently bought new 921s and from what I’ve seen they are nice looking rigs. I had a couple questions I was hoping you guys could answer. Looking at the specs of the 21phx and the 20phx they seem to be the same weight. Of those 2 what is a realistic top speed with a 250 ? Also if anyone knows what is the storage length of each one? My garage is exactly 24ft inside so that will definitely be a determining factor. TIA

At 24' you won't be able to go over the 919 length. I believe the 721 and 920 were the same storage length and my 721 barely fit in 25' garage

You need to get a measuring tape and measure out exactly how much usable space you have in the garage. My garage on paper I have no idea what it is. But when I measure I had 24ft 1” from the concrete pad wall to the garage door closed. I have a 3” lip on the top of the pad in the back before I hit the sheet rock. So 24ft 4” of space as the power head on the motor sticks back further than your prop does. My 721 with a 12” jack plate and a 4s Mercury is 24ft 1” long. I have literally 3” of space when my motor is touching the back wall. Just enough for the metal brackets on the seems of the garage door to clear the bow of the boat when it’s opening and closing lol. A 920 and 20phx is 5” shorter than the 721 so that boat should fit depending on if it truly is 5” shorter on the trailer. But a 921 will not fit.

Yep, you're right on the line for fitting. My 721 is pretty darn tight in my garage, and it's 25'. You better measure, and re measure, and think of ways to get an extra foot or so if needed.

Have a 920 Pro XP with a SHO and a 10" jack plate. My garage is 23'4" deep, angled slightly and using about 12' of width of the garage I have over a foot of space from front to rear with the tongue folded.

I have a full 24 ft so that should work. What kind of speed are you seeing with a tournament load ?

Four 12" graphs, Ultrex, 8' poles and agm batteries, loaded to the gills high 60's to low 70's. I'm also at 2000' elevation to that cost a few mph. Rarely run that fast though.
