    Exclamation Prop pitch

    I have a Lowe 1989' pontoon 18' with a 1989 Evinrude 40HP 2 Stroke 4000 rpm WOT the prop is a 121/4" dia x 15" pitch should i go up or down with the pitch to get to the WOT of 5000 rpm which is what it should be?

    Down in pitch will get you more rpm. A 14 or 13 pitch should get you where you want to be

    Wasn't suggesting you go to SS. Mark is very knowledgeable and will set you in the right direction regardless of prop material .
