    Lower Unit

    Looking for suggestions on a where to buy a rebuilt lower unit for a 2010 Merc Proxs Opti. I would prefer to purchase near Michigan, Ohio or Indiana if possible so I can pick up if need be. Would also consider other locations if they have overnight or 2-day shipping.

    Torquemaster 1
    1.75 gear
    ”L” or 20” shaft

    Any recommendations would be appreciated!

    Mercury does not offer a "rebuilt" version of this gearcase.

    "L" shaft length is 20". Not sure where you got 23 from but it's a 20" shaft engine.

    Any "rebuilt" or "Reman" you find are very likely going to be either a dealer rebuild, OR something like OBR.

    are you sure? D&R out of Kalamazoo Mi was checking with Merc in the morning to see what’s available. Is it this particular one that they don’t rebuild?

    He is the owner operator of a very well respected mercury shop, he spends a lot of time helping out on here for free, he is a board sponsor and helps us source the correct parts for our driveway projects.

    im sure mercury sells new lower units. I would be skeptical if anything your offered is "sci " is an aftermarket company with a not so hot reputation. So just make sure what your shop is selling.
