Ranger z21 gauge lights always on

Hi Guys,

looking for some help to see if anyone else has had this problem. I tried the search and couldn’t find this issue specifically.

2007 z21, 250 hpdi.

i have had problems with my cranking battery running dead, particularly when the boat sits without being used for any length of time, even with the circuit breaker off.

The previous owner had several accessories wired in the boat and I figured one of these was drawing at all times.

I disconnected all accessories and still could not find it.

the other night I noticed my gauge lights were on, even with the keypad shut off and the main breaker off.

had anyone ever had this issue?

any advice on what could be wrong in the wiring to do this?

Maybe try to trace the wiring from the lights…previous owner could have tapped them into something. The only thing I know of that should be hard wired to constant power is the auto bilge and that’s on demand, not a constant draw.
