I know that an engine loses some horsepower when it's hot and humid, but how much is "normal "? 200-400 rpms?

Ok, thanks guys, I just wanted to be sure, I was turning 6400 but now down to 6200
absolutely.
If you look online, you can find conversion charts for horsepower in automobiles. When you see 0-60 and 1/4 mile times in auto mags such as Car and Driver the data has been converted to a standard temperature and humidity.
In car engines ( race engines) high humidity can take 2% of the horsepower
Hot and humid air is less dense. Less dense changes the mixture with the gasoline resulting in lower power.
I used to race some long distance motorcycle races out west...The difference in power between day time and night time made a huge difference .With cooler temps and lower humidity it felt like somebody rebuilt the bike at sunset..
I always thought FI would clean some of that up....Maybe not..??
