    Livewell pump cartridge replacement

Hi folks, my turn to ask a question...

I have a dead livewell pump. I have the old Mayfair yellow cartidges and I was wondering
what I can replace them with?

    Thanks!

I have a 188d that I just replaced both of mine. I upgraded to the 750 gph models. Johnson Cartridge Livewell Aerator Pump 90 Degree. SKU:MAY-38703. You can rotate the bottom if needed by removing the screws. I used a pvc cutter to shorten the threads.
I found them at wholesale marine. They were the cheapest at the time.

I also replaced the hoses. Mine were clear and I found it at home depot. I also found it easiest to remove the rear lid and that allowed me to lay flat and work with both hands.

I have used the Johnson pump cartridges as well but kept the Mayfair yellow housing. I have noticed the Johnson pump cartridges I bought seem noisier than the Mayfair ones. Has anyone else experienced this as well?
