New BBQ not getting hot enough?

I purchase a NG Napoleon Prestige PRO 500.

    https://napoleonhomecomfort.ca/produ...-pro-500-rsib/

It just does not compare to my propane Vermont Castings BBQ.
The cooking times are almost double. Or seared nicely and rare on the inside.
They installed a 1/2" line for about 70 ft and said it will be fine.
Does NG burn that much cooler than propane?

Or maybe I just don't like change? lol

    Anyone see the same thing?

I can't help with this one, but somebody may can answer. Does the NG unit have a regulator on it? Again I don't know. If so it could be the problem. Call the company, they should be able to help you out

At 70 feet on natural gas you can only get 38000 BTU ’s.
specs on your grill show it is 80000. Need a minimum of 3/4 inch pipe depending on what type of pipe and number of 90’s.

You sure you have the model for NG, because this sound just like what happens when you use NG in a propane cooker.

Depends what pressure the Nat. Gas is being fed at. 1/2” pipe can feed a lot if it’s 2# and regulated at the appliance.

The installer claimed it was just above the minimum. 80,000 is if all 6 burners are operating.
