Northeast Cape Fear River - Is it tidal

Thinking about bringing the bass boat down while I am at the beach to fish the river some. Looking to find out if the river is affected by the tide (rise and fall during the tide cycles). Looking to fish some instead of being in the sand .

Northeast CFR is tidal. If you put in at Castle Hayne and go down river you will very much notice the tide movement. I use the "Tides near me app" to see what the tide is doing on the day I plan to fish.

You want to experience the tides, start at lock 1. That area and towards Wilmington is a blast to fish. Watch out for gators also cause they in there.

I think L&D1 is closed. Won't open until November.
