    Seals

Two years ago when I converted my oil bath hubs to grease I used UFP parts. At the time I was in the vicinity of Eastern Marine once a week and was able to just go in and get them.

I need to get replacements, but I can no longer just pop in at Eastern. If I order them shipping will cost as much as the seals. I looked around and etrailer doesn't have them in stock. Amazon has many seals with the same dimensions, but I don't want to get a cheap knock-off that won't hold up. My local trailer supply store is notorious for selling Chinese junk.

What I need is the UFP 1.68" ID Vault Oil Seal #32123. Can someone suggest a source or alternative seal that is reasonable?

Napa Auto parts is my default go to for bearings, seals, brakes. Best to have a seal number or old part in hand to get what ya need. Most things are available to them overnight at worst case

Waymire's. When I order seals, bearings, races, etc, I buy 2x of everything needed for all 4 trailer hubs. When I have an issue, I can get started on a hub and not wait for the slow boat to deliver.

It looks like you can't order online. Is that right or am I missing something? What are their shipping charges?

I ordered over the phone (spoke w/ Skip). I cannot recall shipping charges but I felt they were quite fair.

Back when I converted to grease it was suggested that I use the TDE triple lip seal instead of the UFP Vault seals. I wanted to stay with UFP parts so that is what I used. Since I have had a failure I was thinking about trying the TDE seals.

Does anyone have experience with them?

I've gotten my oddball size seal from a local auto parts store.

Not sure if this will help but mine were skf 16657 or Timken 473317 for the seal
