Had friends over Friday night and did pizzas in the Joe. Then Sunday I marinated and grilled strips with baked potatoes and salads.

This past weekend was burgers and dogs on the BGE. Now, last weekend, I smoked a brisket on the BGE using the Aaron Franklin method and it was insanely good!! Salt n pepper, post oak smoke, 275 degrees, wrap in butcher paper near end of the stall and finish to about 203, let rest at least an hour. Only problem I had was that the lump burned out but I had already wrapped it so I just finished it in the oven.

Sunday after work was a tomahawk on the gas grill. Followed instructions this time from a guy on you tube. Caught the drippings and made a little basting deal. Came out great!! Gotta get a get good thermometer now. From the sounds of reaction we are gonna go tomahawk more often!! Threw together a quick pasta salad too. Plus beers.
