Hard to tell what we are looking at, if that is in the bilge area a black and brown wire would be an aerator pump or a bilge pump!

I'm going to say you have a purple... positive black .....negative....the blue would go to gauge lights.

With the wire nuts and tape....they didn't just come apart.....also looks like the blue wire had a jumper crimped inline going somewhere.....looks like someone eliminated something and covered the wires......Are you having a problem with a gauge or something not working?

That white wire that is hanging there looks like at some point was tied into the blue wire, probably to power something. That red wire that is tied into the purple wire appears to be the power wire from a depth finder but I don't see the black wire!

My former 12V car stereo installer in me is having PTSD flashbacks from some of the customer cars that rolled into the shop. My OCD kicks in for stuff like that and I have to start fixing it all.

Yea me to ...if something needs fixing on this old bird I will try and fix it...so I spliced in the white wire to the blue ...what ever it goes to.
