What, you don't like spending the day on one of Pa's 3 lakes with 10,000 of your closest friends

My friends and I have been saying they need to start charging to launch a boat. That will solve some of the issues.

When the army corp lakes were charging a launch fee a few years ago, it deterred nobody. Blame the pandemic. During COVID, everyone suddenly became "outdoorsmen". Give it a year or two and these folks will realize it's not for everyone and there'll be all sorts of outdoor stuff for sale.

My shop is across the street from a elec motor only lake. It's been over run with water fleas , middle of the week and the lot is full. The pressure has become so bad the fish shut down. It's to the point I have no interest in going out on the water anymore, it's to the point guys are fighting over spots now.

Kayakers on Lake Nockamixon by me outnumber bass boats 4-1 anymore. The place is an absolute zoo on the weekends. Nothing against them. Just wish some had a little more curtesy. I know, fisherman aren't perfect either. Can't wait for October.

I’m not gonna hold my breath that the money is going to stop in October.

Me neither. I'm just hoping there are a lot less people on the water come fall.

Can’t wait for fall/winter fishing. I won’t even go out on the weekends anymore during the warm months, way to crowded on the lakes.

don't worry, people will HAVE TO WORK, once this "here's free money-don't get a job" thing ends! The lakes will get less crowded, especially on weekdays.

I won't even go to a PA lake between memorial day and labor day, maybe an electric motor lake every now and then. The few lakes we have are hit too hard and there are too many boaters.

Like that here as well. I'm really hoping this whole kayak thing is just a passing trend created by Covid.

YES... I had kayaks and paddle boards go between me and the shore line. I told them they were RUDE and they told me I don’t own the lake.... THEN I told them and SHOWED them. 110 Whopper Plopper that could cast over them. She laughed and went on her way.
