Ok can someone explain to me the difference between the 60% vinyl ester resin that comes in a premium boat and the 40% that comes in the same boat if you order the SP package? Does it make the hull weaker if it has less resin content?

That’s the amount of pure VE (60%), as in 60% of the resin is pure Vinyl Ester, while 40% is a blend we buy that is custom. The resin is AME-6001 which is among the best available. We would use 100% VE though the shrinkage is too high. It’s really good stuff!
here is the data sheet on AME 6001 compared to most polystyrene ortho marine resins.

I certainly don't have the answer, but I do know when rebuilding my previous transom on my Skeeter, the Vinyl Ester was used to help adhere the plastic boxes near the sponsons. Poly couldn't get it done. Also, the vinyl ester was pricier.

The ve is what BCB has the balls to use to prevent hull blisters that all the other brands won't address!
I believe its less prone to stress fractures as well... correct me if I'm wrong.
