2035 No more new gasoline motorcycles on showroom floors

At least in the UK. Just 14 years from now.....

Wonder if the US will follow suit? Or the US won’t have a choice with most of the manufacturers not making gas motors. I can only imagine jumping an electric dirtbike over a triple jump. Joking, I’m told old to be doing that shit. lol

Is the ban, just for the showroom floor? Most don't ride there anyway.

Hard to say, in 14 years we may be wondering why we ever messed with gasoline in the first place.

Honestly electric would be perfect for motocross. Enough battery to last a race while the other set is charging.

yup; i love the sound and smell of dirtbikes..............but i've chatted with a couple guys with electric motorcycles who have ridden their whole lives and they say the EV bikes are just plain wicked!....like scary powerful and power delivery is unreal.

I wish the had electric motorcycles back when I was young. Went to an ice race indoors at Hara Arena when I was young and we were sitting in the upper rows and we could barely see the ice with all the smoke

in political terms, and that is what drives this, 14 years is two eternities. They say that today and in 14 years if it is still not any more practical than it is today, they will push it to 2049.

the two stroke bikes sound awesome. Still can’t get behind the sound of a four stroke single cylinder

None of they bikes are made here anyway. It would suck to go to a race and not here the sounds and smell the race gas. It’s coming though.

The EV push should keep the prices of gas up.

Quieter dirt bikes would be the perfect step to keep most happy in multi use off road areas...We wouldn't be pissing off the Hunters, mushroomers, equestrian, etc etc..
I have ridden the electric KTM...Pretty cool but getting use to the different sound it makes and the trail noise takes some time....Don't have to worry about stalling, shifting or a clutch so that was kewl on tight trail..Just don't let your buddy grab a handful of throttle while your sitting on it taking a break...Lol....
Prices aren't bad but they need to get at least 2 hours of seat time to make them off road race worthy....Instead of gas in the pits we'd be doing battery changes..lol..

The Man does have a valid point and never saw anyone ride one there anyway saw some folks sitting on them providing their own sound effects can easily do the same with electric motorcycles.
