Sorry, I did not. I have been working on the auto scan module and a new foot pedal. Perhaps one of the guys that have built one of the poles has one and can weigh in.

This a Ghost version I have going... hope it helps.

Obviously all in mm and view is from top of TM.

The 16mm circles are NOT cut through...just 3mm deep pockets to relieve around protrusions around front screw holes.
You can obviously vary the angle and offset distance for your 1.25 pipe (1.66 OD) to fit your particular need.

Next project is a dogbone brace between lower part of the outer shaft and the 1.75" non-rotating TM shaft (to go right above the bearing clamp).

    Thanks Roy,
If you decide to make these for sale, you will probably generate a lot of interest.

I have been trying to retire for the last 6-7 years <LOL>!!! Seems I am not very good at it so far... but who knows. The price of aluminum is pretty high right now (what isn't). I think the swing bracket version that I am working on will be the deal.

Thank you for all the leg work and time you have put into this very interesting project. If I can ever get Amazon to ship me the right foot pedal, I'll get that going. Right now just using the remote which works great. So far I have received two wrong items and one defective Linemaster foot control...I'll just keep sending them back until they get it right.

    Roy,
I had to buy the linemaster switch from eBay, could not find it on Amazon.

This is a rendering of the foot switch that Is under development. It incorporates direction and speed control into one compact unit and has only one wire. This was designed and 3D printed by one of my friends but it only had direction control and required a separate reversing relay. I asked him for a design that incorporates the speed control and this is his concept. Should have this in operation in a couple weeks, pretty busy fishing at the moment.
    On a Related subject:
I have been using the scan module for about a year now and find it helpful for locating off shore structure associated with way points. But I think the real value to this module would be if you scan to find the structure and then touch a button to spotlock the transducer pole. This would require an Arduino or Raspberry Pi micro controller but the components are readily available.
So I am researching this approach and if successful will replace the scan module. Lot of fun ahead.

Awesome idea! I use a Pi now to run my 3D printer and it would be a perfect tool to add all kinds of things! But...I am afraid of getting lost in the weeds and forgetting to go fish <LOL>!

Amazon shows the Executive 74 and I have just ordered ANOTHER one....let's see if I get a Clipper on/off vs what I order....which has happened the last 2 times.

Really interested in what you figure out next...I think you have a great idea but just trying to wrap my head around the inputs necessary to manage that...at a minimum some kind of heading sensor I think....COOL!

Ran into a slight issue when combining the remote control with the foot pedal. Seems the remote control box design shorts the output when external voltage is applied from the foot pedal which immediately blows the fuse. The pedal works by itself and the remote control works by itself....so I am adding a diode to the output of the remote which should resolve the issue. Don't know if anyone else has experienced that or not....and it may just be an issue with the remote box that I received.

I have my AutoScan module and manual foot switch isolated by a DPDT toggle switch. I have to select which source I want to use though.

I had the motor output of the remote control (not an autoscan module - which I think is cool!) and the motor output from the footswitch connected to the motor directly. That way I could use either the footswitch or the remote without having to do anything. However the remote control receiver has an issue with that configuration and I am having to isolate one leg via a diode. No big deal but a bit unforeseen. Diodes are cheap and easy to install...

Also FINALLY got the correct Linemaster from Amazon....just took a while. Works fantastic!

My initial top bracket for the Ghost was made from 1/2 Starboard which by itself is a bit too flexible. I was going to mill one from aluminum but just didn't have the right stock so I jumped to making the dog bone brace to hold the non-rotating shaft of the Ghost to the non-rotating 1.25 PVC. After I installed that, I don't think I am going to bother changing the top bracket....it is SUPER solid and nothing but the inner shaft moves at all....

Since the polarity changes to reverse direction I don’t understand how to make the diode work with the circuit.

Ok, I love this whole idea. I have a Ghost and have a couple of questions. 1). for those of us without access to or skills to machine the upper bracket and the support (dogbone), could these at sometime, perhaps be purchased? 2). How is the upper bracket attached to the motor without disassembly of the stationary shaft?

Ah....didn't read the whole post with the last question....and just now caught the version of the Ghost bracket I posted still had the bar section across the back between the rear holes that is there only in an intermediate design step...that is not supposed to be there <LOL>!!
