    Trailers

How come we don’t have a “ for sale “ section for boat trailers ? Many folks have for sale and just as many are looking for one

You very rarely see a trailer for sale on here.

Maybe there would be if there was a "Section" for them.

There is a SWAP & SELL section with a "Miscellaneous" Forum. I have seen trailers posted there for sale and a "Wanted to Buy - Other Than Fishing Tackle" Forum you could use if looking for one.

I CAN tell you one thing, finding a GOOD used dual axle was a PITA. It took 4 months and our area is a bass fishing mecca. I looked at a bunch of junk/semi-junk and they were asking $1.5 to $2k.

I'm looking for a trailer that will hold my 491 Ranger 21' long...no luck for the past 6 months.

Multiple aftermarket aluminum trailer manufacturers are your best option. The trailer will last indefinitely with minimal maintenance, better construction than an OEM steel trailer, and cost less.

Are you or anyone know of a manufacturer in the northeast area? I have even reached out to Tennessee Trailers who seem to make a great trailer but due to this Covid crap, they can not get any inventory and can not make any trailers. They wouldn't even accept any orders as they do not know when they will get back to normal.
    Thanks

Enter "aluminum bass boat trailer" in search. A bunch of them come up.

    Thank you.
I sort of gave up when one of the best known custom trailer manufacturers couldn't get parts.
    I will try again.

You are not far away from Venture trailers in Baltimore. They build aluminum trailers and that is who I went with to get the one I have now. You should be able to call them for recommendations and a little legwork on your end with measurements, etc. will help. Good luck.

Don't forget to check out places like Duck River Marine and PowerStoc, both in TN. They sell not only used and refurbished bass boats, but get a lot of trailers as well. My guess is trailers come from folks that live on a lake and put the boats on a dock lift year round. But have seen many a quality trailer on those for sale.
