    Switch transducers?

I sent a Helix 10 chirp si gps G2N in for repair and Humminbird replaced it with Helix 10 chirp mega si + gps G3N. I had a tournament so I just hooked it up to the G2N transducer for the weekend. The unit worked great, is there any need to go through the trouble of installing the new transducer? What will I be missing? Thanks!

Did you change the Connected Transducer setting to match the MEGA SI transducer?
The setting is 83/200 : MEGA SI

The standard 2D sonar for the new unit is HW CHIRP and the MEGA SI+ transducer is longer. The G4N has more power.
If you want the new unit to function as a new unit, you use the transducer that comes with it.

Yes I did. It worked great but I think I will go ahead and install the new transducer. Just feel like I’m missing something if I don’t. Thank you!
