    ZX250 Setup

I have a 2017 ZX250 w/ a 250 sho, 2 poles, 10" manual jackplate. I have 6 dots showing on my plate and the p to p is 2 1/4". With a tournament load and full of gas w/ two people im running 65 mph. RPMS are around 6200 and water pressure is between 15 and 20. I bought this boat new in 2016 and its never been a speed demon. Just trying to get a little more out of it because i know it can do more than what its doing currently. I've run a 25p fury with the same top end as a result. I know its summertime and its hot, but even in the winter im running a consistent 67-68 loaded. Everyone talks about 7 dots showing on the plate, but that wouldnt that put my p to p at 1.75" or 2"? I dont remember how much each dot represents. What can i try to get some more mph out of it? Thanks!

I have a 2020 ZX 250. I typically run a light load with between 1/2-3/4 gas. Dual console, 2 PP livewells empty. Water temp this past Sat was right at 90 degrees. 74.4. 25T2 7 dots showing turning alittle over 6000 rpm's. Full livewells 72.3. This is me by myself. Don't know alot about Fury props but I'm about to try a Tempest. I need a backup just in case.

I think I may try to raise my jackplate a dot. That seems to be the common number. I just didnt know if it would get my rpms higher than they are now.

Make sure you put some weight in the back if you carry a heavy load so you can get some lift. Also make sure your prop doesn't have any dings and also I found once trimmed all the way up to bump down about 2 clicks. Seems to be the sweet spot. Hope this helps.
