    PVS suggestions...Razor4

Got my 27p Razor4 the other day.
Stuck 2 solid plugs in it the same as I had with my 26 Razor4. There are 8 holes.
They are opposite each other and not in the holes closest to the lower unit.
Previously revved 3800 and I could mash it and not blow out. Now revs 4000-4100 and I can mash it and blow it out.

So what difference do the holes closer to the lower unit make?
I have 4 solid and 2 large and 2 small plugs to play with...

I have a Razor XL with 8 equal sized holes. I plugged the holes closer to the gear case to start but 4 plugged did not deliver the hole shot I wanted. I am down to just one plug in with 7 open for blistering hole shots and mid range acceleration. Mine does not have irregular sized holes so the XL may be different. I would run it with zero plugs first then add plugs until desired low end performance is lost, then back it up as desired.

All 8 holes on the prop are the same.
    Curious about placement and reasons.
I wonder why he uses the XL for some?

The XL is a Bravo1 style prop 15in diameter.... The Razor4 is a 4 blade OMC Raker 14.5 diameter.

Plug the other two holes away from the lower unit and see if it lowers the rpm's at take off. If it chokes them down too far put the large hole plugs in them.

I guess my other question would be, do the holes closer to the lower unit maybe have less or more affect than the others? Like, a large hole plug might pull rpm down less closer to the lower than in the hole farther away.
