    2022 F250

Dealer just told me there's a 6 month wait and they're selling at sticker price. Anyone heard differently or tried negotiating?

I think there are a lot of variables like location, inventory (or lack there of), etc. About 6 months ago I sold my truck that I had owned for ten years only due to how much used 3/4 trucks were bringing. I am a Ford fan through and through, but the 21 F250s interiors just seemed outdated compared to the Ram 2500. I ended up buying a Ram with the intent that when Ford decides to update the interior I would reevaluate. Well it happened sooner than I had expected. I actually called my brother in law who who is the GM at my local Ford dealer and asked when they would be getting any 22 F250s. He said his builds keep getting delayed and honestly doesn't know when he will get some.

Thank you, RTR. I was told if your order, your build will be prioritized over dealer inventory builds. Nothing like waiting...I'm having anxiety flashbacks from waiting 6 months for my Bass Cat. Apparently the chips are coming in again, but are being used first for inventory that was waiting on them.

Personal I would wait on a truck. Just what I’ve heard so this could be true or a story. There are so many new vehicles waiting for parts so once they finish them there will be a flood of 2021 models they will need to sell at discount pricing to get them gone.

I bet that's true, but I really like the improvements they made in the 2022 model. I'll probably wind up over paying for it in the process.

02EC7EF4-FE01-4C62-A03E-411B081C7A8E.jpegI agree that if you can wait to buy that’s your best option. I’m with you on the 22 model year f250. The interiors are much improved over the previous 21MY. If you’re in a position where possibly overpaying isn’t much of an issue go for it. I’m also glad they brought the lithium grey color over to the F250 which would be what I would choose. I will say I have been very happy with my 2020 Ram 2500.

Love your Ram. Very nice. I plan on getting the Black Appearance Package like yours.

What’s new on the 22’s? I’ve been interested in getting a 7.3 gas Lariat.

I have the 2021 Tremor 250 with the 6.7L Turbo diesel....could not be happier! Just drove from Shreveport LA to Fort Walton beach on one tank of gas and had 90 miles left before filling up. 600 plus mile range on the tank and 20 mpg on a 9K lbs truck. And the power matches my 300R...ha ha nside is a little dated but I have heard way to many horror stories about the electronics in the Dodge. I went with what I felt was reliable. I got the Lariat Ultimate package and the ultimate tow package which puts a 350 frame under a 250 badge Tremor Cat.jpg

You will enjoy the truck and the 7.3L Godzilla motor. Gas mileage is not so great but the power will be fun. This is my first diesel and the 1050 ft lbs of torque takes a little getting used to. Dang thing pulls hard all the way to the 97 mph limiter.

Elwood, how is the ride on the Tremor tires? Love the look, but I expect they're a little loud on the highway?

Dealer told me 6 months yesterday, but I bet 40 weeks is more accurate

The Goodyear have about a 500 mile break in and drift until then. If you run 80 pounds of pressure you will feel it. I have mine down to 65 psi. I plan on going to a 36 inch tire next and tuning my TPMS down to 55 psi and running around 60. Keep in mind that my motor weighs 800 pounds more then the 7.3 liter. Two different rides.

Ordered mine from my dealer last week, 22model F250 KR had to give Ford my DL for verification that it wouldn’t go into dealer stock. Received email today saying build date is 8/19/21. Dealer hasn’t received anything for three month but received 5 trucks today and they were sold as they came off the truck. He seems to think things maybe letting up a little bit since I Red my confirmation from Ford today.

just had to re-order my 2022 F250, originally had the xlt with the tremor package, but was told today that the tremor package not available on the 2022 XLT'S, had to go to the Lariat.

They probably had a build slot in place already. Car and boat dealers can put in orders for build slots and changes can be made up until a certain date. I do not work for a dealer but I do work for a company that builds on the chassis. We basically are ordering build slots and from the time we place the order till we receive the chassis would be 40 weeks. I'm sure there is a little fluff built in.
