    189TRX discontinued?

Appears that this model is gone according to the website.

I always thought it was weird to have the 189 TRX and 18 TRX. It’s the same hull. Just do one of them rated 150-200HP.

Yeah I realize that. Wonder what will be standard on the new 18TRX? Probably same as before

Also wondering the same as I just noticed that it wasn’t a part of the 2021 boats listed on their website.

It went up $5k and they discontinued the 189trx because right now they can. Boat sellers market is so hot right now. Buyers…not so much. It will be interesting to see what the boat market looks like in 5 years. I predict a glutton of used boats on the market and prices to be depressed greatly in time.

This is making my decision to sell mine even more difficult. A lot to think about.

Something needs to happen to stop the gouging. What they are charging for new bass boats the last few years is ridiculous. But they do because people keep buying. I know several people that have more money in their boats than they do their living accommodations.

Why would you sell it a new one will do the same thing? If you treat them like they should be treated they should last 15 to 20 years.

Doesn’t bother me one bit that they are getting more right now for their boats-good for them. It all comes down to a personal decision. I currently don’t think it’s worth trading in my perfectly good 2008 18x2 for a new 18 TRX or z518. I will wait a few years until the dealers are overloaded with used and new boats and buy one then to replace my boat. I can catch bass just as well in my boat as a new 2022 boat, lol.

The 189TRX is now rated for 200hp on the website. Makes more sense to have one 18’8” model to me. Now to get one in my garage!!

Should have been rated for 200 hp all along. Same length width and weight of my 18 TRX.

You can’t claim gouging on something that is complete luxury item. They will sell them for what people will pay for them and they are doing a disservice to their business if they sell them for a penny less. They sell boats to make a profit not as a community service.

I agree, I’m glad they stopped making 2 of the exact same boats with different hp ratings for $!

Agree. 150 E-Tec HO on my 189TRX just not enough. Also makes finding a prop that works difficult.

How did you see that? The 189 is not on the Triton website anymore?

Sorry Thomas, you are correct, the 189 is gone, the 18TRX is still there. Sorry for the confusion

Triton been doing this for years, screwing with the HP ratings.
