I’m 65, and have not been a fan of black wheels. That being said, the black looks wicked good to me. I love it.

I'll join ya! Chrome sux on anything! Color match all the fake chrome trim pieces and keep the black.

Chrome to start with, and after a few miles Ford brake pads will dirty them up to look like black chrome. You can change colors every other day.

If you want to do some reading do a search and type in "Black wheel Fad" there are several pages to read the comments.

I love the black chrome. I got mine from Detroit Tire and they started flaking in 2.5 years. I never used anything but mild soap to clean them. They replaced them but the new ones started flaking again around the 2.5 year mark. Keep in mind that I do drive in salt covered roads in the winter. If you want black I would recommend getting wheels that are painted. My truck has those and still look brand new. They are 5 years old.

Sounds like you used the same place. these are pvd coated. The stock coating are done in mexico and are trash. They started flaking around 20,000 miles. They re-coat the wheels and offered a trade in program with a 3 year warranty. So they send me 4 newly coated wheels and I send my stock ones back.

That’s what I’m going with. Both colors are the same price after exchanging and keeping the lugs and caps I don’t have to buy anything else.

This is what the flaking looks like on the stock wheels. Started about 20,000 miles with stock wheels on and never been removed. No salt on the roads either.
