I messed up..
I used gorilla glue epoxy on a rod I built, so u can tell right away,
it's nothing fancy.
After a month, the epoxy is still tacky.
I know I need to redo it with the proper epoxy, also, should I remove the
g g epoxy before I apply the good stuff, or just go over it?
Thanks

Most likely, You didn't mix a proper 50/50 mix and or did not mix good enough. That epoxy will not be tacky when done correctly. You can mix another batch and go over it. The bigger the batch size, The easier to get a good 50/50... Unless you are using a syringe. eyeballing is not a good method.

What did you use it on? Finishing the threads or handle and seat? Can't imagine it would have leveled well on threads.
Agree with Mike on the mix being off either way. I use GG epoxy for weed guards and it hardens up pretty good.

Threads, is where it's tacky.
Might let the wife measure it out next time.
Using the syringe.
Thx

I used to use E-Tex for rods and if it was not nearly perfect it would stay tacky. Had to do in small batches. Acetone wiped over it would make it cure up.

The Devcon is much better epoxy than that monkey butt stuff

Gorilla epoxy is not thread finish, it is an adhesive, thread finish is in the potting resin family of epoxies. You'll find no UV inhibitors in adhesive, it will amber out on you in short order, crack and fail much sooner than thread finish.
