2015 sho temp help
Ok fellas
My ranger gauge never reads this high.
Thats on plane 3/4 throttle
Water psi is just above 10
The yamaha interface is reading whats shown in pic.
Not getting no alarm as of yet.
The ranger gauge does start out at 100.
And if i come off plane and idle it will drop down to about 160 on ranger gauge.
Any ideas on this?

Im on lake the ranger gauge has read over 180 at times while running.
If i come off plane it drops down slowly.
But no alarm?
Yamaha interface never gets above 140

I suspect that the Ranger gauge is reading water temperature. Can you confirm that? It does seem on the borderline high side. You might want to take the temperature of the block where the temperature sender is located to see if it agrees more or less with the gauge.
The temperature shown on the MFD is engine block temperature. Far away from the water temperature sender. It has little to no correlation with water temperature.

Wide open 14-15 psi will be max . High volume low pressure by design

I went back and checked the pee stream and it was definitely not hot, luke warm. I got a tournament on Kissimmee tomorrow and im gonna be screwed if i cant make a long run.
So do yall think the ranger gauge reads block temp or water?
Ive felt a hot motors water on my old merc and it was wayyyyyy hotter than this pee stream.

I just grabbed new thermostats
Going to replace them. Hopefully helps

All Yams are Luke warm pisser's. Water that has not gone thru the block. Completely different from some Mercs.

Mine does the same thing. My Ranger gauge will show 180 & up, MFD will show 120-130. Had alarm go off one time but believe my jackplate was too high. To this day, haven't completely figured out the SHO but best motor I've run so far.
I assume you got your NEMA 2000 working?

Well new thermostats and impeller did not help
