I used to drive by Lake St. Clair on my way to work when I was with a previous employer. It was a double edge sword. I love LSC and seeing the birds and what not, but it would also frustrate me. I'd be out there on the weekend bobbing up and down in 2'-3' waves with my trolling motor prop in the air more than in the water, but on Monday morning that lake would be practically glass flat.

Have a lake right across the street from work.. I throw my little bass raider in from time to time .. makes some work days pretty long thinking I could be out fishing … it’s got some tanks in it but most of them get caught an eaten by the city creatures

I did back when I worked. Some days, when I could see bass breaking, it was hard to go to work.

Good old Lake Hefner. It used to be way out on the edge of Oklahoma City. When I was in high school it was the popular beer drinking and “parking” location. Nowadays it sits right in the middle of northwest OKC and is hard to miss with a major freeway running along it’s east bank.
    Don't worry Ma'am....

I have to look at the St Lawrence River everyday. There's a bunch of bass boats out there right now.

Im in the same situation. There’s a 50 acre natural lake 100 yards from our farm shop. Use to bring my boat and stay and fish after work. Forgot how much fun it was. Maybe time to drag out the stump jumper.

Used to cross the Maumee river daily, always kept a change of clothes and a pole with small tackle box in the car in case I felt like stopping.
