Finally found the problem after months of looking, tore out the coil harness and unwrapped all the wires. Seems prior owner of the motor replaced some coil wires and miss matched the color coded wires so when trying to time the motor on #1 it was actually timing #5. Finally took it out again yesterday after I built a brand new coil harness with the correct wire color codes (), ran like a champ. Still in break in mode so these clips are not WOT..........

Nice ! I hate following behind someone that butchers up a job.....it's a pita.
I expected some grief along the way on the rebuild, but nothing like what I had to go through, those Hillbilly Repairs that some people do will bite you in the butt every time.
