I'm with decriminalization and legal weed, but I hope most companies continue to test. Entirely too much liability. Do you want your pilot high or the heavy crane operator while your on the ground?

Now I do wish there was a better way to test. There is no reason a person on a weekend should not be able to use and 2 weeks later get fired for a fail drug screen.

Just because it's legal doesn't mean your employers have to allow it....Remember that.

Make no mistake, they could care less about the legal side of that decision, or the secondary and tertiary effects....it's all about the taxation of the product.

I didn't want to say that. It's much easier to troll the ignorant.

Yep, I work with a guy who doesn't understand that, he thinks he'll be able to smoke up because it's no longer illegal but our company is zero tolerance.

If it goes legal at the federal level that will be challenged in court. since it would be de-scheduled they would have to treat it like drinking. if you're not high at work they most likely wont be able to fire you. now if you're high or drunk at work you get what's coming to you but what you do after work is none of your employers business.

Good luck to them having insurance coverage, especially if the accident rates at work go up.

And we, as a society, continue to circle the drain on the way down.

We throw the wrong guys into prison. I'll trade you letting potheads off the hook if we can throw more politicians and market manipulators in jail. IMO our society is harmed a lot more by these guys than some kid looking to take the edge off.
